Wanted to go for a more traditional, Victorian / Dracula / hammer horror movies inspired vampire costume for fashion dolls.

The costume patterns are for the cape, mermaid/vampire skirt and corset!

The corset top has three sizes, one for the traditional 11inch wasp waist doll, modern barbie doll and monster high size.

The skirt is barbie size, but can be fitted for smaller figures if you take in the seams.

The cape is pretty much universal, but you may wish to cut the neckline a little smaller for tiny dolls.
If you want a slightly longer cape, you can print the Witch cape pattern from last year!

Maybe tutorials for Halloween Accessories will be inspired, so please subscribe blog / merineiti youtube channelto not miss out  🙂

Have you got your Halloween costume sorted out yet?

Costumer’s favorite feast is creeping up – and I’m wholly unprepared! Also surprised to find out there seems to be no theme parties held in this town, or Finland in general (If you know any, hint this way!) 😦 Anyway, won’t stop me from dressing up, even if it means being only one in town.

I got myself a set of Vampire Fangsbut as I’ve fallen into a Red Dwarf binge, I might go as the Cat instead. A trip to thrift store is in place…

Although I can imagine everyone might just think it’s a fancy version of Dracula… well. I can live with that.

I have a bumblebee costume, and a leopard coat to choose for the dog, but might draw some new inspiration for the pet costumes that seems to become just more and more ridiculous each year… thankfully the dog doesn’t mind wearing clothes,  she actually likes them since her own fur isn’t very thick.

Instagram!

Oh finally, I’m on Instagram! I’m awful at using smart phones, but I try to upload snapshots of stuff I make 😀

I didn’t yet find out how you can find people to follow with similar interests? I’d love to follow people who post cute pics, related to historical sewing, re-enactment, sailing, seaside, sewing, knitting, cosplay, everything handmade and crafted really from clothing to home decor and building… and dolls, miniatures, animals and any other cute and inspiring stuff…

So please comment if you know how to and if you have or know someone who posts stuff like that 🙂
And I guess I should mention that I do categorize gothic as “cute”… but I’m not a fan of gore or bloody horror, I’m more of the “oldskool” Dracula/ Baudelaire/ Poe gothic romantic 🙂
